2005-2009 Mustang Roush Exhaust Sound Clip Extreme Axle-Back (4.6L V8 GT) Review

Hey guys, Justin with AmericanMuscle.com here
with a quick breakdown and sound clips of the Roush Extreme axle-back exhaust system
available for your 2005 to 2009 Mustang GT. Roush, of course, is synonymous with Mustangs,
having created some pretty incredible turnkey specialty Mustangs, packing a ton of performance,
for their big catalog of performance products aiming to make your Mustang look, sound and
perform even better. Of course, sound is what we’re talking about
here today, guys. Roush has really planted their flag in the aftermarket exhaust world
here with the Mustang and has really become a fan favorite as of late. As you guys just
heard, the Extreme definitely lives up to its name as being a very aggressive axle-back
available for your three valve powered GT, that is definitely going to turn some heads
when installed. As for the pricing, guys, you’re going to find this system to fall right
in the middle of the road as far as aftermarket axle-backs are concerned for your ’05 to ’09
car. With all that out of the way guys, let’s talk
about how the Extreme gets its sound. As you can see on the surface here it’s pretty obvious.
That’s because there’s really no mufflers to speak of. Instead, Roush decided to use
two straight through high flow resonators in place of those traditional mufflers to
get that really deep throaty grunt. Of course, the best part is you’re not going to have
to worry about having any interior drone while cruising on the highway. Construction wise, you are going to be looking
at two and a half inch aluminized steel tubing while those high flow resonators are three
inch aluminized steel. The tips here are 304 grade stainless steel and they are done in
Roush’s flash chrome process that should help it maintain its good look for years to come. Because getting the Roush installed requires
no modification whatsoever, it simply bolts on, you can expect to spend roughly an hour
in the driveway using some basic hand tools, removing your factory axleback, and getting
the new Roush installed in its place. If you guys are looking for an axleback to
give your three valve a very aggressive tone from one of the leaders in Mustang performance,
then be sure to check out the Extreme from Roush, available at your number one source
for all things Mustang, AmericanMuscle.com.

Why do these 4.6 v8 gts sound more muscle than the 2011 and up 5.0 gts?

  20. Michael Mashburn says:

because of the engine builds a 4.6 will still have the old school muscle car sound do to just 2 cams,vs the 2011 and up 5.0 having 4 cams, when I was deciding to get a 4.6vs newer 5.0 I went with 4.6 yes less hp and tq but better old school sound,u can make the hp and tq difference with a few easy bolt on mods, get a tuner, use Bama Performance,or race tune,a good cia, headers, pipes cat delete with x pipe a set of 40 seires flowmaster,Ford racing cams, intake, throttle body, pullys coils ,and u can outrun the new 5.0, because most won't cam them due to what the 4 cams cost

  21. Golden Retriever says:

Well as fait would have it im getting a car with the exhaust already installed

    How convenient

  22. cuzn skeet says:

How is the drone with these? I got flownaster 40 and drone is pretty bad

    Ew automatic 😪

Sounds great and all but 510 dollars is a bit steep for a pipe and some resonators.

  27. Henrik Schødt says:

They sound great, but saying that they don't have any drone is flat out wrong. I had a terrible drone when hitting 2000 RPM with this exhaust.

  28. Jack D says:

What is the difference between these and muffler deletes?

  29. Tôkugawa says:

I put myself this video every night just for sleep.
