#7 Pre-Crawling, Weight Bearing on Arms: Teaching Babies Movement Skills

Hello! My name is Amy Sturkey. I am a
pediatric physical therapist. I am here with Charis who is seven and a
half months old. We are working on her stomach skills which she is not crazy about at
the moment. Hi! So a simple thing you can do is lay
her on her stomach with her arms down on the carpet. Oh! Okay! The further you put her out, the more work she has to do. And if I let go she wouldn’t hold it up. The further back you have her, the easier it is for her. Hello! Hello! So, it is an easy way, relatively speaking for me anyway, to work on her stomach skills, putting weight on her arms.
I hope this is something you can use at home. I hope she likes it better than
Charis does at the moment. I will see you next time. Thanks! Bye! Charis you are not even putting weight on your arms!
