How to replace rear wheel bearing / rear hub bearing on RENAULT CLIO 2 (C65) [TUTORIAL AUTODOC]


Required tools:
Wire brush
WD-40 spray
All-purpose cleaning spray Copper grease
Drive socket # 30
Wheel impact socket #19
Rubber mallet Tap wrench
Hammer
Crow bar
Wheel chock 1. Raise the rear of the car and secure on supports. 2. Unscrew the wheel bolts.
Use wheel impact socket #19. AUTODOC recommends:
To avoid injury, hold up the wheel when unscrewing the bolts. 3. Clean the brake drum. Use a wire brush.
Use WD-40 spray. 4. Remove the hub bearing protection cap.
Use a hammer. Use a crowbar. AUTODOC recommends:
Some cars are not equipped with wheel hub caps. 5. Unscrew the wheel hub axle nut.
Use a drive socket #30. Use a tap wrench. 6. Remove the brake drum assembled with the wheel hub bearing. 7. Clean the hub bearing mounting seat.
Use all-purpose cleaning spray. 8. Install the new brake drum assembled with the wheel hub bearing. 9. Tighten the hub. Use a drive socket #30. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 165 Nm torque. AUTODOC recommends:
The wheel bearing unit must not tilt on the axle pin. 10. Install the hub bearing protection cap.
Use a rubber mallet. 11. Treat the surface where the wheel rim contacts the brake drum. Use copper grease. 12. Screw in the wheel bolts.
Use wheel impact socket #19. AUTODOC recommends:
To avoid injury, hold up the wheel when screwing in the fastening bolts. 13. Lower the car and working in a cross order, tighten the wheel bolts. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 120 nm torque.
