How to replace rear wheel bearing / rear hub bearing on  RENAULT TWINGO 1 (C06) [TUTORIAL AUTODOC]


Required tools:
Wire brush
WD-40 spray
All-purpose cleaning spray Copper grease
Drive socket # 30
Wheel impact socket #17
Torque wrench Tap wrench
Hammer
Circlip pliers
Bush and bearing driver set Rubber mallet
Crow bar
Wheel chock 1. Raise the rear of the car and secure on supports. 2. Unscrew the wheel bolts.
Use wheel impact socket #17. AUTODOC recommends:
To avoid injury, hold up the wheel when unscrewing the bolts. 3. Clean the brake drum.
Use a wire brush.
Use WD-40 spray. 4. Remove the hub bearing protection cap.
Use a hammer.
Use a crowbar. AUTODOC recommends:
Some cars are not equipped with wheel hub caps. 5. Clean the wheel hub fastener.
Use WD-40 spray. 6. Unscrew the wheel hub axle nut.
Use a drive socket #30.
Use a tap wrench. 7. Remove the brake drum. AUTODOC recommends:
Examine the brake drum. Replace it if necessary. 8. Remove the wheel hub bearing retaining ring.
Use circlip pliers. 9. Press out the wheel hub bearing.
Use a bush and bearing driver set. 10. Clean the hub bearing mounting seat.
Use WD-40 spray. 11. Press a new bearing into the wheel hub.
Use a bush and bearing driver set. AUTODOC recommends:
When installing, do not use excessive force to avoid damage to the part. 12. Install the wheel hub bearing retaining ring.
Use circlip pliers. 13. Clean the hub bearing mounting seat.
Use all-purpose cleaning spray. 14. Install the brake drum and fasten it. 15. Tighten the hub.
Use a drive socket #30. Use a torque wrench.
Tighten it to 165 Nm torque. AUTODOC recommends:
The wheel bearing unit must not tilt on the axle pin. 16. Install the hub bearing protection cap.
Use a rubber mallet. 17. Treat the surface where the wheel rim contacts the brake drum.
Use copper grease. 18. Screw in the wheel bolts.
Use wheel impact socket #17. AUTODOC recommends:
To avoid injury, hold up the wheel when screwing in the fastening bolts. 19. Lower the car and working in a cross order, tighten the wheel bolts. Use a torque wrench.
Tighten it to 120 nm torque.
