Whirlpool Dishwasher Repair – How to Replace the Lower Spray Arm (Whirlpool Part # WPW10340527)

“Hi, it’s Steve. Today we’d like to show you how to change
the lower spray arm on your dishwasher. If your lower spray arm is cracked, or damaged,
or is plugged up, you will need to replace it. It’s a really easy job, let me show you how
we do it. Now to do this repair, we’ll begin by removing
all the items in the lower rack and then removing the rack from the dishwasher itself. Simply slide it out and set it aside. Now with the lower rack removed, our next
step will be to just loosen the square plastic nut below the spray arm. Just give it about a quarter of a turn counterclockwise,
and then lift the spray arm off and discard it. Then, take the new one, place that nut on
top of that center bearing, make sure it sits down flush and then turn it to lock it in
place. Now, we can put the lower rack back in, we’ll
simply place the rack back on the door, slide it into the dishwasher, and our repair is
complete.”
